Spring means gravel season. It's time to hit the road, get in some base miles and do a little exploring on the minimal traffic gravel roads. This spring also included 3 gravel races, Mammoth Gravel, Dickie Scramble and the Almanzo.
The mammoth gravel was reduced to a tar ride this year due to another massive dump of snow the week before. Scott and I still did the ride and had fun.
Next up was Drew Wilson's Dickie Scramble. This was a ride we did last year for the first time. Drew puts together a great course and this year was no different. There was one heckuva technical downhill section that I thoroughly enjoyed,
In May it was time for the King of all gravel races, the Almanzo. This was my 5th tour of this great event.
Next race up is the Chequamegon Metric 100!
